Being Anxious
Being anxious about an event signifies that the stakes are high for whatever you’re eager about.
It could be that you’re doing the last exam before qualifying for a degree, or you have an upcoming job interview that you feel overwhelmingly unprepared or unqualified for.
Scenarios like those described above can be used as markers that you’re currently engaged in essential aspects for development in life.
Anxiety often means that we are on the verge of success or on the right path to realising our purpose, but we somehow manage to mistake these feelings of dread as signs that we’re doing a few things incorrectly.
Perhaps you’re trying to get over a breakup, and you catch yourself constantly ruminating, over-thinking and caressing the memories of what used to be, what could’ve been or what you should have done to maintain a relationship adequately.
Perhaps you were abused, and the debilitating effects of anxiety trigger some unhealed and traumatic event that causes you to run into the very thing that you’re afraid of, which is more abuse.
Anxiety Symptoms
If, like me, you sometimes feel feelings or physical symptoms of dread, rapid heart beating, impending doom, fear, loneliness, instability, sweaty palms, headache, backache, neck pain, acne, GERD and upset stomach, please use these feelings to remind yourself of the new boundaries that you are thinking of setting for yourself.
Anxiety Is Necessary For Success.
The next time you feel the symptoms described above or worse, tap yourself ( even if you have to do this 100 times per day) , or do whatever is necessary, repeatedly so that you’ll be constantly reminded that the stakes are high and what you’re anxious about is very important to you.
Doing this may feel very awkward in the beginning and you may become weary of reminding yourself over and over again but this teaching is necessary for you to step into the next segment of your growth.
