Observing Nature, Being Mindful – July 30, 2021

Sweat is peeling my skin

My neighbours are cutting grass with a machette

It is 84 degrees.

I’m listening to the engine of a Lawn Mower on the adjacent street

Mrs Greenwood’s radio is loud. A Christian man is loudly rebuking homosexuality.

He doesn’t want to go home. It had been 18 years since she last saw him.

My grandmother calls to check in on her brother. He will be returning to the states by the end of August. He isn’t happy about this.

He is staying with his childhood friends in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. Water from that parish nourishes the Jamakcan population of 2.8M people.

He will be back with us on Sunday. I cannot wait to hear his old time stories. He was a selector ( a dj) in the 1960’s. I’ve asked someone to make 13 Cd’s for him to take back to the states .

Music from Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Tbe Maytals, Alton Ellis and Beres Hammond are all on those CD’s.

He is the only person I know that still listens to CD’s

I’m setting up my work station to have a meeting with the team.

I am feeling anxious. I know that I’m more capable and that everything is working out for me.

I am training to become a Scrum Master. My Mentor will be out of office today.

This means I will have to rise to the Occassion.

Rise To The Occassion.
