Letter to My friend

Dear Ms. B,

Many times people wait until death or a grave illness to tell or show people how much they mean to them.

I’m aiming to give people their roses while they’re alive .

So here goes a letter to you Ms. B

Thank you for being my friend and more .

You have taught me how to be direct and transparent, although I’m still learning the importance of communicating effectively.

Thank you for the many trips we’ve had around the country. You have made it easier for an introverted and anxious woman to do many sociable things.

With this new ability, I’m able to view life with a different lens. I’m able to understand that life is about what you give to people, not what you take.

I want to learn how to give the best gifts to people. The gifts that will be remembered long after I’ve transitioned from this earth.

On my new journey of learning and unlearning, I want to also take the opportunity to apologize for any hurts I’ve caused you. I’m among to undo those hurts by apologizing and doing good by people.

I’m not perfect and I’m still learning.

Written with love.

– J
