Observing Nature – Being Mindful – June 27, 2021

Listening to water splattering on the ceramic sink.

I heard a lot cough, then a spit.

Some tapping is on the awning, I believe it’s hardened dirt.

A Bengalese Finch is chirping. He is fresh out of a Bird’s tub of water. Feathers are flapping from its air drying

Richard is talking on my laptop. He is going over a few plans to meet goals set to be completed by September 30, 2021.

My American Uncle is speaking. His Jamaican patois is at times mixed with his Connecticut accent. He isn’t aware of it. It’s a thing.

The host of the meeting is concerned and wants to time box our meetings. This means strict adherence to our time lines. Conversations will be kept tight.

I’m noticing my multitasking. I intend to tone it down, sadly end my you tube video, stop typing this blog and listen.

I’m concerned about my attention span. I’ll have to jot things down so my brain will remember I’m to be listening.

Nature’s sounds are drowned out as I focus internally.

Eyes fixated on the laptop screen

Let’s are now crossed.

My Uncle turns the pages of his Jamaican Gleaner.
