Observing Procrastination.

I’ve been observing that every time I sit down and open my laptop, I get a reminder that I need to complete some training I signed up for a month ago.

I’m not sure why I’m procrastinating.

Perhaps because no tangible reward is tied to it? I thought I needed these credentials as I broadened my learning scope to understand more quantitative business concepts.

I’m not particularly interested in the topic of Six Sigma but I certainly want to learn it.

It has aspects of being lean and offering more productivity as a result.

I usually try to envision these courses and training as more of a personal development tool and not necessarily a career tool.

On an entirely different topic that ties in with lean, I’m finding interest in burying waste, such as fruits and vegetable scraps in the soil, instead of in the bin and landfills.

My motive was to reduce the amount of flies surrounding my house since the garbage truck now takes 2 weeks , up from 1 week to collect our garbage.

Reading on how burying some of our waste into the soil release nutrients back into the soil makes me feel as if I’m doing a good thing in the world.

And it certainly marries with my new interest in gardening.

Nothing much more to say here but I think I’m on to something.

Nothing that we do is a matter of coincidence.

Now let’s see if I can dive into this Lean training.
