How To Change Your Environment For Success

Last week I watched a few You tube videos about Hydroponics and growing plants using this method.

I saw where some plants can quickly begin the plant growing process inside a bottle of water, using the Kratky method.

Firstly, I was never interested in plants or gardening but being inside the house so much made me want to change many areas of my house . It now appears that my desires of re-arrangement has extended to the plants around me and to my overall life.

What peaked my interest in gardening was that it beautified my surroundings so that each day I felt as if I was at a new home, with mint scented leaves and cinnamon gushing with the wind and surrounding me with vibrant , lovable personalities.

I also learnt that there are ways to avoid the problems of planting, such as bad soil or pests by using the Hydroponics method.

Having had a few left over water bottles for recycling, it made me imagine that I could have a large indoor hydroponics system with the stuff I considered to be used . I imagined a whole profitable Hydroponics Garden inside of my simple yet tiny home.

I asked myself, how could I design my remote work desk into a comfortable place of creativity and productivity, a place where I loved to build solutions and lived to learn more.

A Place That Encourages Productivity.

A place where I could remove  items I no longer used as inspiration of a desk where work to be done is identifiable , evidenced by markers like pens, pencils, papers, a book ,laptop with emails and jottings.

A place where questions were written on the wall where responses could be given, changed erase at anytime

A Place For Healing.

I envisioned a pack of sticky notes on my desk with a smiley note drawn to remind me that the Universe is smiling with me and that things are working in my favour ,for my good, even on my worst days.

A Place to Love

By personalizing your environment to suit your goals, you can easily form great habits within weeks without even noticing this. You may find yourself putting a glass of water within reach as a reminder to drink more water. Drinking more water can enable greater oxygen flow throughout your body which will make you feel good and gracious that you’re taking care of you.

If you’re to revamp your surroundings at home, office, garage, patio or wherever you spend most of your days, you will begin to feel happier throughout the day, regardless of the circumstances you’re faced with daily.

Of course this band aid won’t make all daily disappointments disappear, but you will feel better enabled to make the best decisions whenever you’re faced with them.

Afterall, notice that everyday we’re faced with dilemmas within our personal and professional lives that are either interconnected or separate.

One of my greatest dilemmas everyday is that after a full day of work, I’m not necessarily charged up to show up with my best self for my personal life.

Many times I feel guilty about slacking off with my goal to eat less fats and more protein or walk more but will take the utmost pride in putting my best foot forward at work and showing up most times.

I find that I’m having to remind myself , almost daily that I’m a work in progress and that whenever I recognize these feelings of guilt, its an opportunity to find what I’m lacking internally and give myself what I need.

So ask yourself these 2 questions and I’d love to be inspired by your responses.

Questions I’m To Ask Myself To Achieve Success ;

  1. What personal Goal(s) do I want to achieve?

  1. How can I re-arrange my bedroom, living area or work space so that is serves as an inspiration to continue to love myself and the progress I’ve made (or the lack of it), and the lessons I need to learn , daily?
