My Response To Sarah Sprout “ New Moon Rituals And The Intention Setting”

In today’s blog i’ll share my thoughts on 4 of Sorout’s intention setting ritual which I found to be easy and compelling enough to be tried and tested.

On Gathering intention supplies ;

A slight beam of guilt would hover over my head for typing and not writing my intentions with my own pen and paper. But the convenience of always having my typing supplies, which are my phone and my fingers, makes it easier for me to write my intentions and gratitude journal morning and night. Writing these down not only makes you feel good but prepares your temperament and mood in the state of ‘something big is about to happen, and I’m ready to receive it.

On Creating a sacred setting intention space;

I agree with this wholeheartedly and can admit to not being very anal about creating the necessary space. But imagine the levels of distraction bound to happen if this space isn’t identified as your sacred space for setting your intentions? I agree that chaos and mixed signals would ensue. That’s not the aim now, is it?

On Clearing your space before the ritual;

The author mentions the use of sage to clear the energy but I would add that a physical De-clutterig of your space gets the job done as well.

On Meditating for at least 5 minutes. Meditation means different things to different people. I once meditated everyday, consecutively for a year. The onslaught of emotions that came with it was too much to bear. But I understand that this is a part of the process. So right now, meditation to me means being aware of my physical environs and how it interacts with my body from head to toe and the flow that comes with it? That works for me. Does this way work for you?

There’s no shame in anyone’s game :). There is no judgment here.

Let me know if intention setting matters to you or you simply take the world as is and react to whatever comes?
